Plastic from bronze and wood ○ 2012

In 2012 as part of the university curriculum, I was presented with the task to create 3 identical plastics from gypsum, wood, and bronze.

This was extremely challenging at the time since I never before worked with these materials. The plastic was first made from plasticine, after approval I continued with gypsum, following by the wood. The bronze version was quite a challenge since understandably I don't have the equipment to melt and process bronze. We were offered to use the university equipment to make the bronze figurines. After the casting was done, the bronze required to be sandblasted and polished.

To this day I believe that in my university the final product was just a bonus. My professors really appreciated the journey required for every task, even if the journey meant having to deal with impossible deadlines, lack of equipment and understanding, harsh judgment, and the fact that nothing is ever considered complete.

By now I really appreciate this approach as it really prepared me for situations and people in my work that would otherwise challenge me. dfdsfs dsfds sjjs aa a
